Grey is a color that happens when white blends with black. Since it’s made by combining different colors, the result can vary widely depending on the ratio of the ingredients. There will be a lighter version of grey and the darker version of grey. This difference in darkness is called a shade.

Depending on how much paint you are blending, a single drop of black color can affect the overall color of the paint mixture which results in another shade of grey.

Oh, and by the way, although the simple basic grey is made by combining black and white, you can also add a little drop of another color such as red, yellow, green, blue, purple, etc to the grey color. Remember, just a little drop of it so the new color is not overpowering the greyness of the color.

Now check out this list and pick your favorite shade!
